Using a Name a Friend Used
Chris and I have decided that we are probably going to change the name of our 4th little princess. We decided that the ending was too close to Madison and we felt like it just didn't flow right. We have come up with some other names and are still in the process of deciding. One of the names we want to use, we both love and it has a very special meaning to Chris's mom but the problem is that one of our friends used it for her daughter. I am afraid that she would get uspet and I am not sure if we should just use the name or move on and find another one. What do you all think, I would love opinions.

I think if you sat down and explained to your friend that it is a special name to your family they will understand. My brother and I both used Thomas as a middle name for our boys b/c it was special for different reasons. Hope that helps!n

My opinion is that you have free reign to name your child whatever you want. That's what your child will be called for the rest of her life, so you have to be happy with the name. If you think your friend will be upset, maybe talk to her about it first to let her know what you are planning on doing, just so it isn't a surprise. In the end, is it really a big deal for there to be 2 Ashley's or 2 Jessica's (I just picked 2 random names)?
In the end, you need to pick the name that you love. Your friend should understand.
